Paper Peacock: 🦚
Hi everybody it's been a while! I'm back with a new simple craft for you to make. It is a fun peacock that folds in and out just like a real peacock's feathers, and you can even use it a a fan! Anyways, lets get started with the tutorial.
What you need:
- construction paper
- glue
- tape
- scissors
- googly eyes (optional)
- construction paper
- glue
- tape
- scissors
- googly eyes (optional)
How to Make it:
1. Cut out the body of the peacock. Like the shape in the picture shown, just take a piece of coloured construction paper - any colour, it doesn't matter, its your choice.
2. Glue on two googly eyes where the eyes would be in the picture. Instead of using googly eyes, you could do this instead: cut out two small white circles of the same size. Then cut of two smaller circles that are black and glue then on top of the white circles. Then glue the two finished eyes onto the peacock where to eyes would be.
3. Tape (or glue) three feathers to the back of the peacock's head.
4. With orange construction paper, cut out a triangle for the beak and glue it on to the front of the peacock's face.
5. Now comes the fun part - time to make the tail! Take 3 pieces of construction paper, all different colours unless you want the tail to be one colour. Fold each paper up like how you would fold one of those paper fans. If you don't know what I mean, take a look at the picture above.
6. Once you've folded them all, glue the ends together and you should end up with something like this:.JPG)
7. Once it dries, take some tape and tape the paper together on the bottom like in the picture.
8. Tape or glue the tape part of the fan to the bottom of the peacock.
9. Have fun folding and unfolding the peacock's tail!
I hope you enjoy this craft, and I'll be back with more posts soon!
