Funny Thanksgiving Fruit Turkey
Thanksgiving Fruit Turkey: 🦃
Thanksgiving in Canada has already passed, but Thanksgiving in America hasn't! That's why I'm making this post about a super simple but fun craft to do with food for Thanksgiving. Here it is!:
What you need:
- Cucumber
- Peppers Red, Orange, and Yellow
- Blueberries
- baby carrots (optional)
To start, slice off one slice of the cucumber. Make sure to wash all of your fruit!
Put the cucumber slice aside and pull out your peppers.
Cut off one side of each cucumber like in the photo.
Make sure to wash them!
Now, here comes the part that is a bit harder to explain. Cut a few slices off of each slice. Try cutting them at parts that indent in as the pepper will be the feathers and if you cut them in that spot the turkey will have feathers will curled ends.
Pick one slice out of each colour. Which ever one looks the best. Then, cut off a bit of the end on each one so it is straight like in the photo.
Place them all behind the cucumber. If one is too thick, than cut off a bit of it on the end like in the photo. If one isn't too thick, then do this to one of your other slices that you cut that you aren't using for the turkey. Make sure it is in a isosceles triangle shape. This will be the beak.
Instead of using a pepper slice as the beak, you can also use the end of a baby carrot. (But I like the pepper one better).
Wash two blueberries the same size. (The bigger the blueberries are the funnier it looks!). place them above the nose (pepper or carrot) on the cucumber as the eyes.
There you go! You are done! Enjoy your funny looking fruit turkey!
